Sustainability that stands strong.
Meet the new biobased diamond-head bollard — a breakthrough in sustainable urban design. Developed in collaboration with C-Biotech, this innovative bollard is made from recycled HDPE, post-consumer waste and locally grown industrial hemp.
Its unique composition doesn’t just minimize carbon emissions — it actively removes CO₂ from the atmosphere. By harnessing the natural carbon-capturing power of hemp, this bollard goes beyond neutral to become CO₂-negative, helping cities reduce their environmental footprint in a measurable way.
Designed and produced entirely in Belgium, the biobased bollard proves that ecological responsibility and economic logic can go hand in hand. Fully circular and traceable through the Earth Plus platform, it replaces tropical hardwood without compromising on strength, aesthetics or functionality.
Available in both fixed and removable versions. The removable version fits the standard ground sockets and can be unlocked with the standard hex key.
The bollard features a diamond-shaped top. Around the body, two subtle red/white reflective strips are integrated. These bollards are also significantly lighter than traditional hardwood versions, resulting in less damage to vehicles in case of impact.
The lightweight diamond-head bollard sets a new standard for sustainable street furniture.
Steddy combines:
- Durability
- Safety
